A level pupils warned not to rely on resits

'Pupils who do not get the A level grades they need to get onto their chosen university course this week have been warned that they may not be able to make up for it by resitting their exams.

'A growing number of universities now refuse to accept the results of resits or give them less weight than those of candidates who take all their exams at once.'
